I've been reading this thread to see how it turn out and it seems you did not find the right car yet. I know how it is, i've heen there, but me i always wanted a gsx and when i found it in Lithuania i bought it right away. If i had to do it one more time i would import one from US with 500-600whp because all the performance parts for this car have to be imported too and that will empty your pokets. Just be patient and keep looking and you gonna find something, if not you can buy mine :)

Thanks man. Your car looks tight as hell. I did consider importing from the US and it still sits somewhere in the back of my mind. I'll scour the little we already have in Europe first though. Probbably will change my mind with time but I'f I'm ever making any more power than stock, I'd be fine with 300-400hp.

Hey Honzi, sent you a PM with an interesting offer local to me, it's a GS-T :)!

So for anyone whom it may still concern, there's a 97 euro GS parked outside my window.
Can't say I chose to go with n/a because there wasn't really an option. The GS-Ts are rare and at the moment out of my budget range, forget about GSX (thank you for the offer Kryndon but I wanted to go with the minimal risk approach).
The car was as cheap as it gets around here, cost me around 2,5K in usd with all the asociated expenses (the cheapest ok condition 2g to be had at the moment actually).
It's got 140K km on it and almost rust free. It was owned by a family in Germany for the entirety of it's lifespan. Drove the thing back over 800km which is a story of its own but the car stood up without any problems.
It's fun to drive around even at 140hp so I can see how most people don't even try to make more power here.
It will take a lot of work and money to make it into the car I actually want but that's for the future. Anyway I hope you people are looking forward to another idiot asking questions all over the place.
Thanks for the support and ethusiasm and sorry if I pissed someone off along the way, I lay that at the doorstep of my ignorance, no disrespect meant.
See you all in the months/years to come.

Hell yes! Those pictures are super nice and it fills me with nostalgia about my first DSM (2G red GS). Congratulations and welcome to the DSM world. You wont regret it, and even if you do, you'll end up buying another one later down the road .

Good luck with the project and maybe think about making your own DSM Journal; it's always nice to see how others mod their cars :).

I need your tail lights asap, I will even send you a set of USDM factory red ones.
Yes I could imagine doing this sort of thing at some point in the future, I do plan to alter the apparance of my tails. Personally I hate the european taillights but I've seen white Eclipses make them work, might be the same case with black. I'll have to ask around and find out all the legal stuff and wiring differences if there are any.
Anyway you were the first one to ask so if they end up floating to the US they're yours unless I get a crazy deal elsewhere.
Also I've met some part-out guys already and there are more ambers to be had around here. What value do they carry in the states?

Im not sure value wise, I have seen a few sets listed here and there and Ive been tempted to look at them closer but I have never gotten serious about them yet, let me know if your interested.

Underhood shots coming right up. The engine bay was a big selling point on this car for me. Haven't done anything to it yet. Excuse the Hyundaii valve cover. Don't know how the old one could've rusted away with how the rest of the bay looks.

Here's a short vid of startup, idle and some revs: https://vimeo.com/user90727227/review/295607506/c4d736fa95
The waring lights go crazy after turning the ignition on but everything is chill after I start up the engine. I suppose that's not ordinary. Wat do?

She's VERY clean. Nice find Honzi!!!

Video link doesn't work for me, not sure about others.

But, it is nice and clean. Take care of it, make sure the maintenance is up to snuff, and once the time is right turbo the shit out of it. :D :p
