I just have to say in the 2g's there two n/t motors.....the 420a AND the 4g63 and guess what? we have both in america.

I would like for you to show me a stock usdm 2g with a 4g63n/t. You better do a little more research. They dont exist here.

90-early 92 turbo : 6 bolt 4g63t (not common to crankwalk)

late 92-94 turbo: 7 bolt 4g63t (not common to crankwalk)

95-99 turbo : 7 bolt 4g63t (common to crankwalk)


those are for the turbo cars.

I have never heard once of a 2g non turbo crankwalking...i owned one for 3 years, and knew over a thousand people that had one through dsmtuners and 2gnt and NOT ONCE have i ever heard of a case of crankwalk on this motor.

Now, the 4g63 non turbo motor DID come in some 2g nt's. Although, none of those were for sale in the US, I believe they were sold in europe.

i say you sell the car for 4000, buy a 1g awd for 2000, and have 2000 to rebuild the whole motor and have a perfectly good running 1g turbo. then you can go from there to start modding that thing.

yo word, if you're gonna put in nitrous, make sure you get new floor panels. those are the first things to go when you do a double shot durning a race. plus you gotta make sure the nos doesnt fry your piston rings.

Man come on them floor panels where rivited on and the Nos didnt fry the piston rings it was the granny shifting double clutching over reving that did it. The only thing the NOS did was cause a 4th gear scratch at 110mph But dont tell anyone that was a non turbo that ruins the whole movie....just like the glued on supercharger! ooops I gave away another secret.

ok..... i laughed my ass all the way threw this thread. i have had my car 2yrs and im almost 15 now. i have always loved dsm's and as soon as my dad gave me my 1990 plymouth laser rs turbo (i wish it was a 92 awd laser ) i joined forums like this and read and read for 2 yrs i read. i neva touched my car till this year and i tore the motor outta it cuz when i got it she had a stuck valve. now that i know allot about these car i now begin to do stuff to it. get wut im tryin to tell u? LEARN FIRST!!!! and obviously ur dad aint helpin u if he let u get jipped andy moron can tell the difference between a 420a and a 4g63. and i think one of the other posters was right get a honda ricer boy

na man, it was a regular old 5 speed, with dual transmissions. they had to put in the second transmission so it could back up.

to the original poster, make sure that when the guy was working on the car he put all of the tires on the right sides and that there is plenty of halogen fluid. the guy who sold you this thing musta been an idiot, so he might have neglected simple things like halogen fluid.
