Lol as the title states. Street race car, will be driven on the streets maybe 10 miles a month, and that will be cruising to the local "Mexico" spot.

Rwd swap into an old muscle car, C4 trans with a trans brake, top notch converter that stalled to 5500 behind a 1200hp SBF with Procharger, 4.88 gears, and a 29" tire. E85. Curb target weight is 2750 wet, with driver.

1g, stg3 ported head, GSC s 3 cams, sheetmetal intake, Wilson TB, 2150's. Stock length aluminum rods, stock crank, still haven't determined compression yet. Big Stuff 3 with COP, Fuel system and shortblock will be built with 60+psi in mind.

Dont mind revving it to the moon, dont mind using some nitrous to spool it up on the brake. Dont mind taking it apart every 20-30 passes/dyno pulls to make sure everything is ok.

Im super cheap, so what is you suggestion for the cheapest, easiest to get, copy of a China copy, turbo you would suggest for something like this?

I would not in any way put a China turbo on something like that, if you value your block and head and rods and don't want metal shards running through your engine I would buy a used name brand turbo, if you can afford all of those other parts then you can afford a good turbo.

Thanks for the response! What used one would you suggest?
I take it they arent living too long here. Do you feel at those boost levels they wont survive? Just curious, guys in the LS world are making some crazy power with them. Then again, it aint 55 lbs either.

Thanks again!

They don't live long and they also don't put out the same power as the real deal because they have loose tolerances and poor higher friction bearing surfaces, they aren't well balanced either and are made from cheap materials in general. I would recommend either a Garrett or Borg Warner journal bearing turbo if your looking for bang for the buck, size and model would depend on what kind of power your after a Garrett 4204, 4294 or Borg Warner S366 should make good power for a rwd setup, there will be others that will list other turbo's that can work also, some Holset turbo's if big enough can work also.

http://www.forcedperformance.net/ for turbos.
http://www.forcedperformance.net/xr400-84-htz.html I'm running this on on my LS with a T6 housing. Aaron Gregory has run it on his 4g also, will need quite a bit of nitrous to get it to light off, but it will make some jam.

How much HP are you wanting to make? FP has plenty of other options too. They sell the Borg S369sxe's as well priced as anyone.http://www.forcedperformance.net/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=13009097051 It'll make 900whp on a 4g for not a lot of coin. Or the fancy XR stuff like the 10569s will make over 1000whp and spool very well http://www.forcedperformance.net/xona-rotor-10569s-ball-bearing-turbocharger.html

I wouldn't do china stuff. It's tempting but it won't last. I burned through two 80mm borg copies before getting the one above.

You are likely going to need to restall that converter, even with nitrous.

Good stuff, thanks for the recommendations! I will check those out. I was previously looking at the BW s400 sx3 or something along those lines. To get the combo and car sorted, 700-900 at the wheels. Ultimately, 1k-1100 to the wheels. And that could be 950 on the motor, with a 100 shot of nitrous. We will see.
Good point on the convertor. Its a bolt together, so at some point it will have to be tweaked. These are all 2nd hand parts from different combos, so making it work together will be fun.

700-900 is a big range. Then 900 to 1000-1100 is another big range. That's a drammatic difference in turbo size between even 700-900.
What's it weigh and how fast do you need to go for classes/races you intend to run?

Weight should be 2650 ish wet, ready to race. Rwd, i would like to run 8.50's to 8.30's
