My car had a blown center diff when I got it. Since I got it running I only drove it till I realized this, + - 40 miles
Any way, I was wanting some opinions on the welded center diff ($150) and the keeper to go with it ($75) from TRE.Much cheaper than a new diff. I've read that it is easy to swing the ass out wich would be hellacool! I also read that it chirps the tires when making tight turns at low speeds. Does it act as bad as it already does with a blown diff? Mine binds up when I make a sharp turn and doesn't even want to go until I straighten it up. If its going to do this I don't want it but if it just chirps a little and doesn't bind then I'm all for it!
Also I read that wheel hop is what usually causes it to break, If you had 50/50 then wheel hop wouldn't be a problem and there's no moving parts anymore so it would be stronger than ever, right?
I'd like to hear from anybody that has one or knows more about this.
I plan to drive this car around town and at the track but I do have another ride if that makes any?
