Car hesitation in 3rd gear

Alright guys i just need your help really bad. I bough a 93 Talon Tsi AWD ( see my mods in my profile if need be). The girl i bough it off of said it was running 16psi well when i got it, it seemed to be only running 10psi. She said she never touched the setting before she sold it to me. So i turned up the boost to only 15psi just to be safe. It seemed to be holding fine. Then i did a spark plug change I used NGK BP7ES .028 gap. So everything seemed fine. Then the other day i was doing a hard run and in 3rd gear at 4,500rpms bam! it feels like i blew a tire then i let off the gas a lil and shift into 4th and its fine. It seems to be only doing this in 3rd gear. What could be the problem I need to know if i am hurting something or what i should do?? Please help me out guys. If you need any more infromation please ask i'll try and give u as much so u can help me out. Thanks guys

i have this same problem, except it does it in some of the other gears too during racing and normal driving, although it tends to be worse when i get higher in the rpms. i dont think its a tranny problem tho cuz i just had mine rebuilt about a month and a half ago

so u don't have any clue as to why this would be happening either have u gotten it checked out at a shop. My tranny was rebuilt to not to long ago so. I really hope it isn't anything serious cause i just bought the car and i am short on money as it is.

it happened today again on the highway in 4th gear while i was just driving normally, and really only seems to do it when its warmer outside except today it was still pretty cool out like 45. i dont even know where to start with this

Ok i think i have found a little on this. Check all of your intercooler hoses and make sure they are on tight.

ok i checked all of mine and even checked to see if i had any shaft play, nope no shaft play. hooked all the IC hoses back up along with the intake, after cleaning them all out as well. Still have the problem. It has gotten so bad i cant even drive the car around anymore at all. annnd i have a new turbo on the way, what timming this is. Well i wont make it to work again today. hope someone can help us all out on this topic.

well now that i think of it i might have an answer for what this is, but first i need to know if this occurs during normal driving or if it only occurs when youre at WOT or close to it. if it only occurs under mediocre or serious boost, then i would check all the vacuum lines. i had this problem and it turned out i was missing the idle adjusting screw. i fixed that, and just lately since i got my MBC and Boost gauge its been doin it again. and it only occurs when im running more than stock boost

yea mine definatly only happens at WOT not during regular driving. I wasn't having the problem before at 10psi but at 15psi i am having this proble. What is a 5psi difference going to do?? Its l not like i am running 18 or 19psi u know. Ugh i wanted to go out this weekend to and eat some civic's but i guess not with this problem. A girlfriend of mine when for a ride and starting screaming when it happened I need to get out there and see whats up with it. The screw that u were talking about where is this located?

Found the problem I am an idiot. It was the Throttle position sensor that the wire looked like it had been cut or snaped off. Crimped it back on and the car runs good all the way to 6K rpms.

Damn i have having the same prob on my 95. But only third gear at WOT. Hell if i know. If i find something else out i will post it here as well

Ok guys mine probs are fixed. One of my plug wires poped off the coil pack. Guess i over looked it when looking at all the other hoses. Now for my next question, what would cause this? or maybe it just "poped" off for no reason and everything is fine.....hum doubt it.
