Car dies when I coast

Im really stumped here. My car warms up like it should, then the engine will idel at like7-8 hundred rpm like it should. Then when I drive the car and I start to coast (like with the clutch in or in neutral) the car dies. I dont get it because the car runs fine when im on the gas. Please help!

OK I just went out and tried it agian and now the car idels really low when sitting still if it doesnt die. Could it be the started or alternator?

Ok now that I got thinking about it, something in the fuel system would make sence. Please give me some imput guys!

does your coolant, brake and battery light stay on? if it does it means a dying alternator.

Even if they dont stay on, it could still be the alternator, do the lights dim at night when you roll the window up or something? You can have those checked at like autozone or something i believe. It is probably something wrong with the electrical.

Yes the lights stay on when the car dies. Im not sure if the lights dim when I role down the windows, I can check. So you guys think it could be alternator?

If the lights dim when you roll up the window, then yes it is the alternator.

raise your idle. check for vacuum leaks

try this...start your car and leave it idleing. then open your hood and take off the negative terminal of your battery.
if the car dies, it means time for a new alternator.

I figured it out. That fuel injector I had problems with before has a bad o-ring and the upper rubber seal is bad. The reason my car was dying was the car was taking in to much air and not enough fuel so it died. Im going to work now but tomarrow I will go to the dealer and get the injector seal and o-ring set and then friday I will be able to take my fuel rail off and replace that crap.
