can't open up my hood!

Alright, just got done puttin my car together. closed the hood. now i cant open it. tried pulling on the cable real hard from inside the car but it won't release. is there any way to release this?!!! this is the most stupidiest thing ever!! thanks

Try having a friend pop the hood , and hold the hood release while you bump the hood with your hand . you might have to do it a couple of times . give it a try
