cant keep boost

when i first bought my car it was stock. then i put a boost gauge on it and it peaked at 11psi but would fall off the to like 8 or 9psi. then i put a smic(didn't come w/one from factory) and I removed the bcs restrictor. now i can make 13psi peak but it falls off to like 10psi. is this normal or could something be wrong with my car. someone please help me.

Normal. Boost will spike and then settle down.

Although you shouldn't be getting only 8psi or 9psi.

its not spiking, it makes 13 at like 2200 amd holds till about 5000 then drop off to like 10 or 11psi

this is normal too..your just exceeding the turbos limits..what size is the turbo?..the problem is probaly just the turbos capabilities..if its a small turbo then the boost will fall alittle after its peak HP range..or atleast ive gathered..
