In my stock 92 auto with a standard transmission ECU lets me build about 12lbs at 3300. :shhh:

Yeah that is why. My little bitty 13b spools very quick but she runs out of steam at 6k. Now the "modified" car doesn't spool until 4500, but it is spinning a MUCH bigger turbine (and she is good to 9k). :sneaky:

I was in the same boat as you when I tried to launch auto 2g. Even with my high compression 2.4 and a sinister 9" weighted converter. I was only seeing 2400 stall speed and no psi with a 6262 turbo. I came across a thread in ecmlink explaining the proper way to launch an auto using the als tap. In order to use the als properly. You need to ground your brake switch to the ecu. Then using the als table, you'll be able to retard timing and richen up the A/f raito when the brake pedal is pressed at a stop to build boost on the line. After doing this mod, I was able to build boost and launch my car within a few seconds. Heres the wiring diagram for a 2g.

Years later. Helped a ton. Thank you.

Just wondering but are any of you using that trick with the brake switch AND nitrous? My 76mm turbo will need all the help it can get but don't wanna kill my axles or transmission either.
