OK I am try to break-in my engine but I am seeing to much boost and can't seem to get rid if it. Here my set up I have a vacuum line leaving my turbo compressor; then it is teed one side of the tee is going to the input on the side of the Delta gate and the other side of the tee is going to the in on the boost controller and then there is a vacuum line leaving the controller going to the input on the top of the wastegate. OMG

Get rid of this Delta Gate thing and the T, connect the compressor nipple directly to the IN of the mbc.

isnt a delta gate an external wastegate and in that case what are you talking about another wastegate for, and first off if i were you id try flipping the boost controller around the other way, cause you never know. Another thing, is DO NOT "T" into the boost controller line, find another source for the other things, otherwise your boost might get spikey because of increased time for air to travel and line expansion, try to keep the boost controller on its own dedicated line as close to the turbo as possible

If I'm not mistaking, Delta Gate is a bleeder type mbc made by Turbonatics. If this is true, you're bleeding off pressure before it even gets to your other mbc resulting in all out boost.

yeah, the best thing to do is just keep the MBC alone on its own dedicated line and that should solve your problems, and also id get rid of a 2 boost controller setup..... :toobad: thats just....not right :nono:

common people! delta gate is an external wastegate. what type of boost controller do you have? is it an electronic or a manual? if its manual you have it hooked up wrong. if its electronic hook it up like this.... get one line going from your uicp to your IN nipple of the boost controller. get a line from the top of the delatgate to the OUT nipple in the boost conroller.then tee the side nipple on the delta gate to your bov line. then tee off another line from the line that comes out of the intake manifold to the on board boost controller.

if its a manual boost conroller, leave the top nipple alone. get a line from the side nipple of the delta gate going into the boost controller. and then another line from the boost controller teed off to the bov line.

I stand corrected, just got off the Turbonetics site and it is an external wastegate. My apologies. :coy:

I have a Turbo XS duel stage boost controler. I called them today and did a blow through test and the controler passed. I think somthing is wrong with the wastegate. I disconnected the vacuum lines and just connected the input on the side of the wastegate and left the other open and boost still went up pass 13psi. The tech at Turbonetics said to do this to test the wastegate. I am going to take it apart and clean it out.

Does anyone here use the Deltagate.?

does it SHOOT up past 13 or does it creep? also, have you givin it a chance to come back down, is it just spiking, my bro has a TurboXs and hes got it set at 12 pounds and it spikes up to 15 and drops back down

If I say on the gas it would just keep rising

it seems you have your boost controller set up wrong. nothing should be on the top nipple with a manual boost controller. if you really want test your wastegate do this. tee the side nipple into the bov line and read the boost. just leave the top nipple alone. and dont hook your turbo xs boostcontroller up to anything. do a third gear pull to redline and see what it does.

Out of the compressor housing into the boost controller, out of the boost controller into the lower delta gate fitting on the head of the wastegate. The upper you leave open, thats only electronic boost controllers that a push/pull configuration.

The way it is now, your applying pressure to the top of the wastegate and it's keeping it shut thus allowing the turbo to spool up as high as it wants as no exhaust is being bypassed though the wastegate. (hence wasting off some of the exhaust so it keep the turbo at a particular rpm / boost)

Did you not read the instructions that came with it in the box? I know they are there. Next time RTFM.

I bought the deltagate used. I had call Turbonetics on two different occasions before I posted here and the tech told me the same thing both times. If it is a problem with you helping, without trying to degrade someone keep you info to yourself. awdtaylon that worked thanks and DSMJim thanks also
