alright..i cracked a piston in my car..the ? is how did i do this?..i was running around 22 lbs of boost on pump gas with my b16g and i dont have a egt yet..im thinking it was detonation from running too lean but how would this cause the piston to crack?..detonation is when there is not enough fuel to burn with the air given to the cylinder right and the egt's become higher than they would when running alittle richer..im just trying to learn and gather knowledge here about this..ive been reading alot on setting my safc and its kinda hurting my head..
..(the safc was on my car when i bought it so its not like i bought it without knowing how to tune it and yes ive visited road/race)
would turning up my boost levels without tuning the afc to compensate be a bad idea?..thanx for the help guys..
