So I have some oem foglights for my 1g and is planning to install some 6000k H.I.D's in them but wanted to know if they would fit? Feedback guys. Is it possible?

Yes you can use the OEM housing for HIDs. I cant remember what bulb it is to order but her is a pic of my car with 10k headlights and 3k fog lights

Any HID that is not installed in a HID approved lense or a projector housing is illegal and you can be ticketed for defective equipment (unless you have some specialized HID). Unless you have them aimed at the ground you are blinding everyone on the road, just like all the damn Hondas that think it's cool to have blue lights like all the high end cars, well guess what, those cars have specifically designed lighting systems unlike your current primative housings. Notice how there is no "cap" on the end of the bulb? you might as well be driving around with your brights on!

This is very informative.....to bad no one ever gets tickets for HIDs if so their bad the ticket probablly wasn't promted by the fact they have aftermarket lights. As far as my "primitave" housing I'm unlike you I actually have a retrofitted housing with projectors and I'm also running HIDs. It's not written in stone that a vehicle with HIDs needs to have this "cap" in front of the bulb, take the 03 evo for example it came with factory HIDs; no cap required. I'm not here to argue with people that are stuck in the 70's Tim asked a question and myself as well as other helpful non judgmental people answered. He however didn't ask for opinions.

I agree with my bro Herschel, @nocturnal you must of had a bad experience with HID'S but I ain't mad at that LOL

Sharphid a vendor on here has the 1ga (90-92.5). Well they made a special housing for that gen for hid application. Don't go with eBay ones please. I ordered to try them out, even with a hid kit you could hardly see with them. The 1gb(92.5-94) has adjustable OEM headlights and dont hurt oncoming traffic.

Oh and I complained to eBay seller and got my money back. They were also weren't sealed properly.

I have had no bad experience with HIDs besides being blinded on a daily basis by people who think they can throw HIDs where ever they want.

here are mine with 8K lows and 3K fogs
