Just want to know what everyone thinks. Can a 2g dsm be a sleeper? i know 1g's can be easily, but my definition of a sleeper doesnt include what a 2g is.
2g's are just way to sexy in my mind to be considered a sleeper.
What does everyone think??

sure they can. take off the spoiler and/or all the stickers(GSX GS-T), keep your gauges out of site. people will just think you have an exhaust until you step on the gas. for a GS or RS it would be easier. keep the stickers on and just get a turbo kit. a friend of mine had a 96 GS and i kept tellin him to get a turbo kit, and he'll have fun watch the look on people faces when he takes off on them. but nooo he got a acura 3.2 TL or CL dont remember but its the type s one. its nice but i like my dsm better.

sure just take a GST or GSX and put RS wheels on, have the low spoiler, and take off the side skirts. Also paint the door handles black. No one will know whats under the hood.

GOAL: Smoke as many "daddy bought me a Mustang"'s as possible without looking like I have work done to my vehicle. By next summer.....
20g or bigger with supporting mods,rims, stock looking 3" exhuast. Maybe I even start driving around with a shirt and tie on with a pocket protector, and "baby on board" sticker.

ditto, we have many cocky mustang idiots in this area. I love to spank them senseless.:thumb:

In my area a 2g would be a hard sleeper to make, the bov would have civics runnin for the hills. LOL. sorry if i may have offended anyone with this thread.

My 2G is pretty much a sleeper. On the old 2.0L 7 bolt and L3R it was a 473whp car and now I am working on a 2.4L stroker and very large garrett setup for it. Its not even lowered, looks stock with the exception of the FMIC. I was planning to have it finished by the shootout but I am having trouble getting the "long" rods from Pauter. take a sledge hammer and POW make some dents, put soe rust here and there. And it looks like a junker...o yea bust out a window and put saran rap and duct tape...:)

first off, i dont understand why u would want to downgrade the factory looks of the car. the gsx is flawless from the factory for looks. why would u want to remove the wing and put base model wheels on it? that's the most rediculous thing i've ever heard. yea maybe u want something to mess with people, but dont make ur car look like a piece of sh!t over it.

To each his own. I never really liked anything "bling bling" on my ride (or any ride for most part). The stocker look works for me and I'm sure for a lot of people. The factory wing on the 97-99 wing looks like $h!t and I took mine off in favor of the 95-96 wing. Another benefit of going sleeper is the cops don't bother you. It's fun messing with peoples heads! Especially when they have the outcome already decided in their head! In no way does the factory look make the car look like $h!t as you say it does Isotta91. Now which one would you rather prefer, money well spent on the right parts and tuning to go kick someone's a$$? Or money spent on making the car look fast at the expense of getting your butt whooped everytime you line up???? My car would not give you a single hint what lurks under the hood. See if you could spot the FMIC on the pic. The RSR exhaust tip had been lopped off in favor of dual tips with the stock muffler sleeves on it. This beast has been dynoed at 500+hp at the wheels (2 weeks ago and I do have the dyno sheet if anyone thinks I'm joking) and is still driven daily on pump gas. None of the gauges are visible from the outside so even if I'm on the street it won't give off any warning to the other driver until it's oooh too late. Is this 2G sleeper enough for you?

just yank the sideskirts, put 14 inch hubcaps on and slap an RS sticker on there...... o and put your boost guage under your dash or something

btw, i agree with byondevl...buy a LASER if you want the better sleeper. my friends thought i was stupid for buying my car until they found out it beat EVERY car in my town. :rolleyes:

now they all wanna ride with me everywhere i go.
me: hey, i'm gonna run uptown really quick, i'll be right back.
friend: i'll go with you.

this happens ALL the time now. LOL

By this I meant downgrading your factory looks with something of a lower model and NO I'm not accusing anybody anything. I do think that the factory look rocks and I agree with him.

you would want to downgrade the factory looks to fool people that you were non turbo. thats the reasoning in taking off the turbo wing. im not saying that im going to do it cause i like the turbo wing. there are a couple of people that have takin off the turbo wing from their cars on the board, and it looks alright.
