This is my current setup. Yes I know a lot of that has nothing to do with this question - I copied/pasted from notpad. Anyhow on to the question.

I currently have HKS 264/272. I want to go to 272/272 or 280/280. How harsh would my streetability be on 280's? I am currently on Fp green and stock intake manifold, but those will be changing to JMF SMIM and a big turbo in the not too distant future. I don't feel like taking the head apart again since I am currently building the motor/head. I still want this thing to be streetable, but I want it to perform best on the track. Discuss...

My fp2Xs (fp2 cams are like 272s but a little more up top) are fine for the street for me. But that's just me. It isn't annoyingly sluggish down low for me. But it's rare to get great street performance and still have it 'perform best on the track'.

A set of adjustable cam gears can give you what you want. Advance the cams slightly for street time. And set them back for track. . . . other than that, you can go stroker or just stick with the turbo you have:D . A bigger turbo likes more cam than what you have. It will insure not running at the surge limit.

will i get 10,000rpm with my hks 272 cams with set up?
