Yeah, VHT is quite expensive, but then again you can use the rest of the can on other parts as well if you wanted too. Say like a steering wheel hub, fuel rail, spark plug cover though I would say your black looks pretty good the way it is. I like little accents like what you are going for, and I am too. Doing some stuff in neo-chrome so picking colors that are in that is what im trying to do. My idle surge is much more of an issue to me, though tomorrow I might remove my fuel rail and paint it while im waiting on my PC680 battery that will arrive on tuesday.
I had used the VHT on the letters on the JM Fab intake but I might remove it since to me it didnt turn out too well and polish my intake pipe to match the s90 and JM Fab. For some reason the second time I put it on the shifter cables were in a much better spot. I just hope my idle issue is gone.
I do like how the finish turned out though with the VHT. More like a matte finish than a gloss so keep that in mind. If you do want a gloss finish then you would have to spend another 20 on a clear.
