Well, I am looking for a 97-99 GSX in my area... Hoping the local dealers here get one in so I can trade-in and finance. Anyways, I wanted to know what I could do to get up to 300hp and set myself up to further upgrade later to 350hp or 400hp. Depends, I am not sure if a 400hp car is a good daily driver. Let me know? You guys defiantly know your stuff and I am sick of my Honda.

I read the tuning guide to get to Stage 1 300hp and the guide for Stage 2 to get to 400hp. I really was amazed and wanted to know two things after reading them.

1. For that stage 1 300hp you don't need to do any engine work to boost over the stock amount? I don't want to blow an engine here soon after getting the car. All I saw were basic bolt on's. If this is correct I had no idea the 4g63t was such a strong engine. I am coming from owning a Honda so cut me some slack if it seems like a dumb question, I know you gotta buil the internals on those to raise up some good boost.

2. I don't know what specific brands would be good for a 95-99 GSX. The first steps Intake and Exhaust and what not. Is the K&N full kit good or the Injen? That's my two top choices... Also for Exhaust custom 3" piping or just get a full cat-back?
