I might have broken my transmission but asking to make sure. I have no 2nd gear but I have all other gears. I checked cables and they move when I put into 2nd but the gear comes out like nothing is there. Do I need to rebuild my trans?

I was just cruising back home and then going from 1st to 2nd then nothing, could not find 2nd gear so for the rest of the ride I went from 1st to 3rd then 4th and 5th.

I have had 3rd gear grinding and popping out of gear but I lost 2nd and I am still able to get into 3rd with the usual grind.
Any help is appreciated.
thanks

With all the issues you say you're having I'd say it's safe to say that you need a rebuild of some sort. The popping out issue is particularly bothersome.

Most of the time transmissions do this they are already worn out in every possible way.

I don't think it would be a shift fork as they are shared with other gears on the slider. In this case it would be shared with first gear.

However I am no expert on drive trains, only know a small amount.

If you do want a rebuild, send a pm to twicks69
