ok, i have searched the whole site for anything that relates to what im about to ask and have found nothing, so here we go. When doing a drum to disk brake conversion for the 98 talon Esi, are there any sort of metering valve or proportioning valve involved, cause any normal mechanic, (which by the way is none of us who own DSMs), i ve talked to says that i would need one and i would like to know if thats true for this particular application of conversion? Thanks.

On 2Gs, a non-ABS prop valve is a non-ABS prop valve and an ABS prop-valve is an ABS prop valve. In other words, whether the car came with drums or disks in the rear makes no difference. The split point and drop ratio are the same. (In fact, the drop ratio is also the same for ABS vs non-ABS. Only the split point is different.)

[edit: the early 95 AWDs with the vented rears may have had a different prop valve. I add this for completeness, not because it has any relevance here.]

So basically what your saying is after i connect and bleed the new disc brakes i wont have to worry about a damn thing assuming they work right? and the fluid is already being metered right to the new system considering what you said about the proportion being no different?
