Boost Leak Check Device
This system, it is a DIY, and will furnish you with a 15 lb., pressure gauge, that you can see from under the hood. (you can change this to a higher lb. gauge if needed) All the components should be able to be found at your local home center, and requires no modification of the individual parts. They all fit together as a package and need no alterations.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You will need to purchase a:
1) ¾ natural gas line, pressure check, apparatus. These comes with a pressure gauge and a Schrader air valve already in place.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2) LASCO Part Number: 438-248 (2 x ¾ Inch bushing, reducing, Spigot X FIPT), or equivalent.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3) American Valve 2 Heavy Duty Shielded Coupling or equivalent. Measure your turbo inlet and or throttle body elbow size, then utilize a reducer coupler matching one end with your turbo - elbow size and the other end of the coupler remaining 2, (.i.e. 2 x 2 ½, etc.) The 2 side will be needed for the 2 x ¾ bushing above.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4) Short - 3/4 pipe nipple
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They all go together as such, and connect to the turbo inlet or throttle body in the routine fashion.
This seems to be a nice little package that works very well together.
Good luck and I hope this makes doing a leak test, a little easier for you.
