Body kit or None you decide

Clear those lights, add in maybe black projector housings, get rid of those ugly gold rims, add in like the stock rims and you might have something pretty neat.

WOW... are you serious? So you basically just want it to be a stock 2g with the widebody kit? OEM wheels are nowhere near the right size or offset to sit flush with that kit.

Stock all the way
I love having a Sleeper, I have surprised a LOT of people......

I was just asking your opinions not put downs. Itis true I have already made up my mind I love my car stock but I love when people look at my car and point and stare and make other cars think "damn that kid put alot of time, hard work, and effort into that beast. Also I am looking for more of a sexy car than a fast car, I got pulled over yesturday for going exactly 8.3 miles over the speed limit Sure I am going to do the N1 Exhaust system hi flow cat New intake, Down pipe, sway bars, struts, lowering kit, etc. I was just asking what you guys feel.:D

I don't mind an aftermarket bumper but massive sideskirts or chopped up rear bumpers are fugly. I would rather spend my money on touching up the paint and getting the best looking rims I could find if you were really that concerned with the appearance.

To be honest, Bodykits aren't as popular as they used to be. I never hear "wow, what a sweet body kit." Unless its a Ricer in a honduhh. If you just threw a Cf hood, nice rims, lower it a bit. Then put some power in it. Then you will see the head turns and complements. To ones own i guess.

This is performance site, so obviously you won't find too many body kit lovers on this site. Take the money for a body kit and buy some more mods. If you really hate your Eclipse body so much, convert it to a Talon instead of getting a body kit.

instead of worrying about how your car looks, lets be concerned on how it performs. With that said don't go out and throw a bunch of money in the motor without thinking of suspension. your car can have the biggest badest motor in the world but if it cant turn a corner then whats the point? just a thought.

p.s. i don't see why your YELLING OMG

ok i know most dsmers dont like the body kit. but i have a widebody kit, shaved door handles, lambo doors, candy paint job, deep dish wheels with 5 inch lip and the cars quick enough. most girls you meet wont want you going too fast anyway, and my car is done great quality so it isnt a 88 civic with a loud exhaust. so the cops never harrass me. i say if you like the kits and you got the money to do it do what you want man.

Do what you like, Imho a clean stock dsm lowered with the right rims and tires is sex on wheels.:thumb:

Can't get any better than the stock lines that our cars come with imo. Most bodykits just don't flow with them. But if you want to attract the eyes of others, paint it red:sneaky:.

I think if you are going to have the "show" you need to have the "go" to back it up. I'd say take care of the engine and suspension first. Then if you still want the body kit go ahead and do it. I'm not a big fan of most body kits but if your going to do it, do something thats unique. If you or your friends know how to fiberglass, try to design/make your own, just food for thought. Here is a picture of mine, most people will probably hate on it, but its different, one of a kind, and still flows with the body pretty well, and it has functional are vents in the bumper to help with my overheating issues.

Umm, I dont think you are going to get the approval you are looking for by asking whether or not to throw a bodykit on. It's your car, do what you want.

I've always been a big fan of a lip and just lowering your car, there's just something about the simplicity but the added lip can make it look so much better.

Skip the body kit but to stand apart put together a Hybrid Talon/Eagle mixed kit....
Keeps it Original and fits perfect, and you still get to stand out...

That right there is THE best looking DSM of all time hands down..... My Brother had one Just like it that I picked out for him personally.............He had me pick out a car for him and buy it when he was in the Airforce. When I went looking for him, He wanted a Eclipse 2g. When I was walking thu the rows of cars at the auto auction I ran across one JUST like this....

I was In love, I really was not sure how my brother would like it so I called him to ask but he did not return the call or pick up after 4 calls..............

I bought it without his approval and well ................................................ He loved It more than the 98-99 Eclipse......:thumb:

He also totaled it under a caddie...:notgood:

our cars look sexy with the stock kit, especially the 2gb eclipse, but if you like it, go for it, its your car/money not ours.

but speaking of bodykits anyone seen the "ferrari" body kit for our cars.

eclipse/ferrari 4 sale

Never seen it before.

That looks pretty good, even though it not ferrari LOL. Where are these types of body kits? They custom made or something?
