ok, I have a 96 gsx and I just ordered a body kit. has anyone installed one by thier self, if so, how difficult is it? I know I need a set of 97-99 headlights (which I will gladly buy if anyone has some to get rid of). But what else if anything should I be aware of?? If anyone wants to help me, I'd be glad to make a day of it!
Thanks!

Allen

It's not that hard to install. Depends on what you got, did you get urethane or fiberglass?? My full kit is fiberglass and it wasn't that hard to install. I did it all by myself. Having another person to help is even better, becuz they can hold it for you in order to drill the holes. My front kit however, was a little pain in the ass, becuz it didn't line up perfectly, so I had to sand it down in order to make it fit better. I change the front 95 headlights to 97-99 projectors. You can get the headlights from ebay or dsmtrader for a really good price. Dont forget to check out the classifieds here too. What kind of bodykit did you get?? good luck and if you have questions, let me know.

I got the blitz kit in fiberglass. Mainly because it was pretty inexpensive and I'm paying for most of it with an insurance check from a hit and run. I guess my main concern will be the side skirt instalation. Someone said I may need some sort of glue or something?? Anyway, thanks for the advice, I'll let you know howit turns out!!
:D

cool, i got the full blitz kit on my car too, but my sides are molded to the body. You will need some kind of glue, not sure what kind, to help it hold in place. My friend used double sided tape and it holds just fine with the ends being screwed on along with it. Hows the maxspeed coilovers working on your car by the way? Is it a bumpy ride?

actually the Maxspeeds are pretty smooth, I can't really complain! Especially considering the price! I could use some good struts though:( I guess I could get this kit on without too much trouble, I really appreciate all the help! I don't suppose you've ever had to replace your crank pully?? mine is making some nasty clanking noise - pretty common from what I've read).

OK, so my body kit is in and I need to know what adhesive is suggested for the side skirts, if anyone knows?? And any other helpfull tips that may be offered!!
Thanks,
