OK, here's the deal. I just put a new intake pipe on my 91 gsx and the pipe is a straight pipe with now dump tubes. At WOT, the BOV blows off early, usually around 4000 rpms or so thus causing me to lose all boost before red line. The boost control solenoid is hooked up correctly. The car either completely haults all boost at WOT or it stutters horribly. It doesn't do it in 3rd or 4th gear, only in 1st or 2nd. We're venting to the atmosphere due to a lack of a dump tube on the intake pipe, and we are running a stock 1g mas. Is there any explanation to this other than recirculating? The bov stays partially open at mid/wot throttle, but at wot it barely accelerates. Please help!

im running a 1g blow off with small 16 g, no boost controller yet, please help! you think just crush it or what?

that's one of the bad things about venting. i had it for a while, but it sucked... unless you went WOT, it would stumble. or if your cruising in 5th and give it a little gas, you have to let it blow off before giving it gas again.

i'd say find another intake that lets you recirculate or if your going to vent, at least do it the right way.

Check Dejontool.com. e has an item that allows the 1G bov ohold more pressure preventing earlyopening for aroubd $50. or get a GM MAF &Translator for around $250.+ and set up the maf in a bloe thru position. The $50. dejon BOV seal should help you. Mark

He's right, there may be something wrong with your blow off valve. Did you say it only leaks around 4000 rpm at wot? :dsm:
