I know there has been plenty of discusssion aboutt his,and yes i used the search button as well!! I got a 91 laser turbo 5 speed and i got a hks ss bov and i seen i na post where some guy left his factory bypass valve on and put a hks ss up in front of it, after bypass and before the intake!! I want a know how this works and if any one else has it done and if they have any trouble with it??
It really should work me and my roomate were saying because you can adjust the hks to stay closed at idle and just open up at higher boost right?? And at idle you by pass is putttin the air abck in so nothing is getting frigged up right?? Can someone else right something to me and explain it just a little bit better please??? And i really want a do this and i really cant see why it wont work??? thanks guys and sorry for the long post!!!!

because the hks bov is still venting metered air into the atmosphere. The air it is venting didnt come from nowhere did it? Why would you want to do that anyway? That is just stupid. If you want to vent that bad, just get a safc. or the ramchargers or dejontool 3 inch maf sensor and run it blow thru style

well the blow off valve and bypass valve is the same thing, just worded differently

so the stock leaks at about 17psi anyway(uncrushed), so adding another and keeping the stock on there wouldn't help any, cuz that one will still leak boost

How is the hks venting when u got it adjusted in all the way it isnt loosing any metered air!!! I could see if u had it adjusted out then u would loose metered air but not if its tight!! Any ways i did it and it works perfect and i can take it of at the track in like 5 mins so anyways to other people out there that doesnt think its stupid it works fine !!! Actually 3 people made up the same set up as mine today and they love how it works!!:thumb:

B.S Because if it is closed all the way it wont do anything. It wouldnt make any noise (Cuz ur a ricer), or release boost. This is just a ### idea.

Here is a fairly cheap solution for the people wanting to vent there BOV to the atmosphere. It helps with most of the problems associated with this practice. It also helps clean up poor idle quality if you are having those problems to. Here is the website for detailed information.
