I prefer NGK, although i have accels right now with no problems at all. I hate magnecore, ive seen way too many fail, way too fast.

Honestly I think its intaller + oil leaks that kill 99% of DSM wires.

I have had two sets of Magnecores fail withing 6 months. Will never spend money on them again. Running on the same 2 year old set of NGKs with no problems now.

I bought used Magnas for $5.. Cleaned the previous owners blown engine residue off them with hand cleaner.. Tested with my FLUKE and did the night time arc test with a spray bottle of water...

No problems! for $5.

I do have a boinggggg for the taylors. I'd just buy bulk taylor wire and boots and make my own...

Over tq valve cover, gasket installed wrong. etc

Alternate coil pack locations.

1g wires on 7 bolts

7 bolt wire sets on 7 bolts with 1g intakes and coil packs. etc...

Missing wire clips. Not secured. Laying on sharp edges and getting worn thru and arching... etc.

Wires are'nt rocket science but the same ppl who side step an AWD with an ACT 2600 at 6.5K probably install their own wires too.

Actually the only difference between 1g and 2g wires is the length, and ive seen 1g wires fit on a 2g, and my friend runs 2g wires on his 1g. And i wouldnt consider the installer installing them wrong and then dying because of hitting a camgear or something the wires failing.

I never said it was any given brand of wires fault but you have got to admit there are some "ghetto" looking installs out there.

just get whatever spark plug wires you want. unless the ones on your car now are messed up or failing, you're really not going to get/notice any performance gains.

Anything 8mm or bigger.
If one should color coordinate: Accell= yellow
NGK= blue
Magnacore= red
OEM= black

i've always used taylors and they are sweet - got some for my eclipse at summit racing for like $46 - it's nice that they're only a few miles down the road

The best value you'll find will be whatever "premium" wires your local shop sells. Or, hit a real shop and get the bulk wire and build your own set.
