Whats the proper name? I seen "Dora" "Rdora" "Rudora" etc........ 1st off what is the proper name?

Also I seen the rear w/ both circle reverse lights, and I seen pics with my reverse lights...... does it depend were I get it?

The local shop will get it to me for $750 poly urethane but that seems way too high. Do you guys have a reliable place I should get it from?

How much does it cost to paint the kit to my stock green color? (good paint job range)

I got mine from www.Importfan.com. It's a good build quality and fitment. I believe the "real" name is Rudora. The cost of paint depends on the amount of prep work needed. But, you can expect to spend ATLEAST $500 on a decent paint & prep job for the entire kit. Goodluck!

I can get it through a guy I know for $400 plus shipping through a group buy. Or, GroundDynamics.com sells it now for $490. If that kit truly is urethane like your shop says it is though, I would do it. Most rdora kits come only in fiberglass I believe.

That's what I always thought. I would prefer fiberglass anyways...it's just easier to work with.

Then definetly look up Grounddynamics or give me a shout so you can get a fiberglass kit!

So what about the reverse lights? I want Urethane or Poly Urethane, I want the kit to last. I am not paying that much for a kit thats goign to brake apart on me

hehe i want that same kit. i decided to go with the side skirts. because i actually aw a good pic of em ad those are nice. i looked at Revpm.com, but you might also try grounddynamics i THINK is what it was, one of the others posted it. they have some good deals.

as far as the diff, between urethane, and fiber, i dont kno....LOL. not to sure. peace:thumb:

and the proper name is Rudora. or Rtype, or Rdora. diff names same kit. just depends on where you look i guess.

First off, urethane and poly urethane are the same material. Second, I have never seen or heard of the Rudora kit available in urethane. There are some disadvantages of urethane...like the fact that you need special paint to stick and flex with it and so forth...also, urethane kits can not be made to fit your car if it comes with minor imperfections....whereas with fiberglass you can just heat it up and bend it or even cut it down and remold it to fit your car perfectly. Fiberglass is MUCH easier to work with, repairable, lighter, and is considerably strong if you actually get a quality kit and not some cheap e-bay knock off. Just some things you might want to consider before making a decision.:thumb:

I know of a website where you can buy the full kit for like $575. It is visionautodynamics.com. <<<<----That website right there has every single kit made for Eclipse. The only very expensive one on there is the Veilside. But those kits are sweet. If i get a 2g, i am going with Street Fighter or Rdora.

It would be nice if someone came out with a new lineup of body kits for the clipse. Im deciding on one and have been leaning towards the rudora for awhile now. Not extremely into the 95-96 styled bumper (Rounder) but its still pretty good looking.

If you guys decide on any kits including the Rudora send me a PM I may be able to get you one a LOT cheaper than most places.

Looks like im going thru you guys im just wondering about the front bumper and the headlights. If I get one that fits my 96, when I get 97+headlights do they fit a 96 bumper fine?

That seems way to low not high! You are buying a rip off and not an authentic kit!

No. The headlights are a different size. I would recommend simply getting a 97+ style bumper if you plan on getting some 97+ style headlights in the near future.

if anyone finds any other good sites for the rdora kit keep it posted in this thread. Im debating on the fiberglass - Urethane now. I have a 97 but have heard so many good things about urethane .. I dunno

Is your Spyder stock green? I would kinda rather have 97-99 Body now

Not sure if that reply was to me but my spyder is Saronno, or Radiant fire red (R87)

The Rdora kit from ground dynamics is a very low quality kit, but they are from what i understand is the manufacture of the kit. I bought the kit for $510 shipped and spent a solid month on prep work getting it to fit correctly and hand making all the mounting brackets.
Hope this helps

The overall quality was crap? Was it brittle and thin as well? Any pictures since its been mounted?

Thanx, Sean

I dont think the kit was truly made to fit the car all of the parts were twisted out of shape and warped. all the kit comes with is just the bare shell with no actual way to mount it to the car. ALL of the brackets have to be made for this to fit snugly. The gel coat that comes on the fiberglass is very stiff and tend to crack and flake off if the bumper is flexed ever so slightly. I got this thing to look pretty good, but that is after a month of reshaping, gringing and fiberglassing. I would definatly not recommend this kit to anyone looking for quality. you get what you pay for i guess. Also Grounddynamics are not very good people to deal with. I waited for over 2 months for my kit and finally recieved it after reordering it twice and countless #s of phone calls. If you really want a kit to look nice go with Wings West, Believe me its well worth it.

Sorry, no pictures yet.

Well, I am all about getting a quality kit when I order one. I really want the rdora out of everything else though. I just wish someone made a really nice one.

So is this from the manufacture of the kit, so all Rudora kits are this crappy, or is that just because you ordered it from Ground Dynamics?
