The best thing about these cars is putting new parts in and usually once you upgrade one part you're going to need to upgrade another so you always have something to work on 
. These cars are very fun to drive and have tons of potential. I have had my DSM for about 15 years and it hasn't ever crossed my mind to get rid of it I actually would like to have another one as a DD.
