whats the best coilovers and shock combo? I dont want a very big drop, the drop I have now is too much but came with the car. maybe like 1.5 at the most but im not sure thats why i want coilovers. adjustable shocks would be nice but i want somethin in the middle of performance and comfort. AND that you dont have to modify to fit?

Most people in hear will tell you to use the search option, but I will help you out. A full 1-piece coilover setup is the way to go. Like JIC or Tein, but if you want to buy shocks and springs I went with the KYB AGX adjustable struts, and Eibach ground control coilovers. The handling is great, but even with the struts on the lowest setting it is still a rough ride. You have to sacrifice some though, if you want an awesome handling car you have to give up comfort, and the other way around.

thanks for not just blowing me off, i did search and found some info but mostly about springs and shocks, not coilovers. if i had like $1k to spend I would go with Tein Flex's but I was lookin to see if theres a somewhat cheaper option. at the same time i dont want somethin crappy...

not too bad. but still $900 i could get tein flex for about 950 (local guy). after lookin around a little it seems that koni yellows with ground controls are pretty good and like 650 for both

Did you look at the Sustec Pro S-OCII setup for $675?

Koni/GCs are probably a better combo at that price though. Sounds like you have a good parts hookup. Good luck with your new setup. Let us know what you end up with/

Unless you have a super good hook up, Konis are about 600 bucks and GCs are about 400 bucks, so that is 1000 right there. Koni Yellows in the front, AGX in the rear, H&R Sport springs all the way around. You're going to be dropping some major green to get a quality coilover set up, specially if you want performance and a quality ride. Go look at the price for RRE JICs or ATI's set up. If those prices look too high for you, stick with springs and shocks.

i dont know much about suspension but arent these koni yellow adjustables? click and arent these ground contols coil overs? click

I have the Koni/ GC setup and I love it. Konis have to eb taken off the car to adjust but I set them where I wanted them or thought they should be, then put them on. I also have different spring rates than what normally comes with the GC coilovers. Only problem with Koni/ GC's is you have to do some.... modification. Rears are very very very easy to put on. Taking the shocks/ springs off is not a problem. The fronts though required some work, which I should have taken pictures while I put them on but I'll get some later.

<---GC coilovers $400, GC front camber plates $300, KYB AGX's $350, just over $1000 for a nice setup.

You are going to be spending atleast a grand for a quality suspension set up. One correction though to what Eagle 5 said. On the 1Gs, yes you have to remove the rear to adjust it. On the 2G however, there is a top adjustment on the rear shocks. I would also like to correct my mistake: since the lack of external adjustment on the 1G rears is what prompted me to suggest an AGX in the rear earlier, I would like to retract that statement and recommend Konis all around and H&R springs. If you insist on "coilovers" like the GCs, then I would recommend the DSS set up instead. You get hypercoil springs, which are some of the very best on the market. This is one of those things you don't want to cheap out on.
