Best cams for my nt???

I was thinking about ordering me some cams for my car, but before I did, what does everyone else use?

What stage would be the best to use? I would like pretty good idle with good gas milage. I had looked at the crower stage 2's, but are they good cams?

Also, right now I have a CAI and HKS dragger style muffler, but I do plan on modding more.

Any suggestions are welcome! TIA!

might help if you listed the type of car you have...I'm assuming a second gen.....there seems to be quite a few cams out there to choose from for you ....DOHC neon cams might fit too...pretty sure they would, but you'd have to look into it...I think crower has a description of what you can expect from each of their cams

I think if i were you i'd wait to get cams. I love cams and think they are an under-used and underappreciated mod in a lot of imports especially dsms. With you current mods you would be better off getting a full exhaust including header and maybe some more on the intake side too such as a larger throttle body and such. To really see the full effect of new cams you have to open everything up because your engine will be taking in and letting out a lot more. No matter what cams you get your idle will be different, it will be even lumpier than it already is, and gas mileage will go down, that's also inevitable. Also if you have to pass emissions you won't.

i have crower stage 3 cams and cam gears. and it weird because the cams are not stage 3 specs. their custom specs 258\258 duration and 446 lift stage 3 specsare .258\.258 duration and.374\.374 lift.

I have the Crane turbo-grind #14 cams in my car and they seem to be very liveable everyday. Idle is still pretty smooth.

If it idles smooth it was a waste of money. ;D
