Bazooka NOS8

waste of money. and its ghey IMO. id much rather have a REAL bottle back there and a pair of 12s or something.. those bass tubes sound like shit, so i cant imagine that SAS bottle sounding any different. save yourself and go get real subs and a nice amp, you will be MUCH happier :thumb:

I somewhat disagree.

I have a self amplified el8a bazooka tube. For what it does, and what i expect it to, it works. 50 watts on an 8 inch ported enclosure can go a long way. If you're not a serious basshead and need the room (or dont have the room like me, a 1g awd owner) theyre awesome.

I almost considered buying the NOS8 for kicks. It'd be darn funny. Especially trying to screw around with my brothers friends!

If you dont have room/dont want to sacrifice room, i think the tube is great. I got mine on blowout for 99 bucks at Circuit City. All you have to do is take a half hour of your time to install it.

If you want to go the more expensive route, the Infinity Basslink is about 190 on ebay. 10 inch, 200 watts. Much nicer, but twice the price. my buddy has one in his sentra, and it is pretty nice!

Im assuming that since you mentioned the tube, you are either a) a ricer, or b) dont want to sacrifice room.

If none of the above, please go the amp/box/sub combo. I had a single 12, in a sealed box off of a paltry 600 watts in my 2g. Rocked the house, more than id ever need. You'd be surprised how nice 200-300 watts would sound in our little hatches.

First hand, you're going to need alot more than that bazooka thing in a convertible. No cabin pressure makes strong bass extremely difficult to produce. I'd go with a "good" single sub (12 or 15") along with a plentiful amp to push it.

oh obviosuly you dont want it to "save room" you wouldnt want a NAWS wanna be bottle then. no offense then but those wanna be look alikes are like fake BOVs or FMICs. just flat out RETARDED. i mean look if u want it cause you think its cool then dude, get that shit.. if you want sound DONT, if you want to save room.. a 10 in a box with a 200 watt amp is going to take up just as much. just no bullshitting. ;)

Hook yourself up with TWO Infinity Basslinks..they're 10" each, self amplified, VERY small...they don't provide the NEIGHBORHOOD-SHAKING bass, but they're clear & decent power, I've read nothing but good reviews on them. You can get one for about 170 on Ebay, so I'd say get 2, since they're enough in my ride, but since you got a convertible yea..I'd get 2..put one under the driver, and one under the passenger seat ;) or both in the back..whatever you want.

They are extremely good. As far as bass tubes go, they arent going to give you the sound in a convt,, but they are damn good. I only have a 6" driver on mine and its crazy how nice it sounds.

I actually think those NOS8 bottles are pretty cool, and like TheTSiGuy said, it'd be great for kicks. But it's not something I'd get if I was seriously thinking of getting a system. It's more or less the kind of thing I'd buy if I had money to blow. But then again, if I had money to blow, you'd better believe I'd be trying to catch up with John Shepherd.

Check out the Alpine Type-R sub. I have it and love it.
