I recently removed my balance shaft & belt. Car runs great! Most of the vibration is really on the steering wheel. I also have the complete urethane motor mount kit. Vibration aint bad at all. I expected worst. Anyhow, my car tends to leak a small amount of oil from the external oil cooler hose connection when i fill it up according to the dip stick measurement. when it is low it doesnt. Is this due to the increase in oil pressure? Do i still have to go by the original markings on the dip stick after removing the balance shaft or is it running it a bit low the proper measurement to go by? Thanks!

Um. Fill it according to the dipstick unless you wanna do some harm =P The leak could be caused by the increased pressure, but are you positive it wasnt theyre before, or from the installation? Either way, fix it, and use the correct amount of oil.

Yup! Car's in the shop getting the leak fixed. Mechanic said samething. Needs to be fixed, leaking cuz of higher pressure, & oil needs to be according to oil dip stick. Thanks! :thumb:

Anconover I recommend the balance shaft & belt removal. You'll get a bit of vibration off the sterring wheel, but no big deal if you are looking for extra hp. It aint bad at all. The removal of the balance shaft gives you higher oil pressure, rev's up faster, less weight, & more hp's! i Removed the belt for safety purposes. If it goes it will take out your timing belt and bye bye engine. I have all my internals upgraded. :dsm:
