ok some of you know i was about to sell my car and get a TSi , well i got my car sold , just didnt let them come pick it up till i went and inspected the new TSi .....

well i went and looked at the TSi yesterday and it defantly "used" to be a BADASS car , now it needs new motor mounts , new O2 sensor and a new torque convertor , so i didnt buy it cause that new torque convertor is a bi*** to put in.......and it sounded and felt like it had some transmission trouble , so i just told him HELL NO , and told him he will be lucky to get 2,000 out of the car.

it had A F>CKLOAD of preformance parts on it , too many to name. but to much trouble to go through. so i called the guy that was buying my car back and told him the deal is off.

so i am just gonna keep my car and start building it up for a turbo upgrade.

i dont really know to much about turbo cars so i wanted to know if i have to buy special shit to hold the power of a turbo. like cams , pulleys , etc.?????

would i have to completly pretty much rebuild my 420a engine to withstand the power of a big turbo. (i aint gonna buy a shitty low HP turbo , going for a BIG one)

my car only has 72,000 miles on it , so i guess it would be ok to start putting a turbo on.
 
That sucks that car didn't turn out to be what you thought. But if it was up to me I would still sell your and keep looking for another turboed one.

yah i was thinking of that , but i thought about it for a while , and i will just buy a turbo car when i still have mine , and then sell mine. and put that money in on the loan that i take out for the TURBO , then keep paying the bank...... LOL
 
If your wanting to run much more than 7 psi on the 420a most likely its going to require rebuilding your engine with forged internals. My knowledge of turboed 420a's is comprised of nothing more than what I've read on different DSM forums, but for the price its going to cost you to turbo your NT you could buy a 1G, then sell your car for upgrades.

If that isn't something you want to consider, then definitely do a search here and on talk and you'll get a lot of info about all the components required to turbo the 420, and its limitations.

thx for your info , i will look into that , i like the 2g alot more than the 1g , just of the 1g's are all going to be high mileage.
