1 coolant pipe hits nothing that a hammer can’t fix

2- the WG vacuum banjo was hitting the manifold making it the wrong angle for the dump tube solution take apart the WG and clock the hat …

3 oil return. Got new line got it installed

Working to get this tuned very soon just checking everything beforehand

update ** we had to stop at 44 psi

The alternator belt let go at 44psi of boost and we had to end the session. I was building the boost feed forward tables and pushing target boost up to 49psi and was going to see how it did there and see about pushing towards mid 50s if it seemed happy. Dynapacks read completely wrong with autos becuase it's measuring torque at the axles and estimating engine rpm and torque based on a defined total gear ratio. With a loose torque converter like these cars run, the engine will rev up to 7k right away under boost and hang there for a few seconds while the dyno estimates rpm to be 5k still because of converter slip. So for a brief moment the engine stays at a fixed RPM while the torque converter "revs up". It just throws off the dyno readings like crazy but we only care for just having a safe controlled environment to dial things in because you run out of road fast at these power levels and things can end bad.

Took it to the track for some testing unfortunately I ran out of nitrous and had to Cut it short ….

A couple things that I feel we can make the car better A pressure sensor to have the bottle heater turn on automatically.

And having an extra bottle …

After figuring out all the little gremlins and now the car started to move a new PB 6.0 @120
We still have room to grow Looking at the logs

- The overheating issue was resolved due to a faulty fan relay can I subjectivist to get a higher CFM fan and potentially a new radiator as my current radiator has suffered several blown head gasket in the past and it’s probably time to change it out.

- launching
On the previous runs I noticed that I had another table that was making the nitrous shut off at 25 mph. We completely disabled that table and now we have it based on boost we keep the nitrous on and first gear and to reach out objective and it worked.

-maintenance
I plan to change all the fluids on the transfer case we are in transmission engine just to keep everything in check. As well as a bolt check

Update just hit a new personal best. Worked on the target boost and pulled timing out at the launch to help building boost.. all the times before i was only building 4 lbs … with -4 at the launch did the trick !
Now i have a great baseline and only can improve from here

Unfortunately that new PB was with 2 gears only my from basket gave out probably a seal … so the trans has to come out.

Ughhhh! Bittersweet. Still feels good I’m sure. 🤘

Not much of an update just waiting on some parts.
Transmission getting finessed up thanks to my Friend helping me

Alternator was shot the alternator shop told me that in over spinning it. I’m trying to figure out how to get a 3” pully on it.

Got a sonax for my new t case I’m building.

And a fancy water pump pully

Picked up a deal on a 300 m t case shaft and went for it . My neighbor is a machinist he assisted me on this project. We cut away at the old gear and welded the new gear on to the 300m shaft.

Right now with the new yoke and spacer we will machine out the tail shaft housing.

Special thanks to Tim zimmer @twicks69 for all his help assisting me.

That’s awesome! I love seeing stuff like this, I’ve been a machinist over 10 years but just now figuring out lathes, I’m looking forward to doing some of my own work on it. Interesting to see Sonnax offering Mitsu stuff, being I use a manual in my DSM I never thought of them being a player however I’m looking at their upgraded valve body for my truck as it’s said to resolve many of the problems that plague Ford’s A4LD transmission, looks real well made.

Cracked block is now fixed thanks to my Buddy Gus lots of cleaning and pre heating.

Prepared the oil pan and got some new stainless hardware for the oil pump. Trying this high performance RTV from motocraft supposed to be bad ass we shall see ….
