Today I was showing my friend my car taking him for a drive, hell I even let him drive later, but for kicks I tried lauching it for the first time. I reved it to about 6500rpm, let out the clutch pretty fast, and floorded it and much to my surprise all I got was spin. They spun for a good couple seconds, I could see smoke coming out from the fender wells, and finally they hooked. I was expecting a pretty hard launch, 70 degrees, dry road, but it wasn't hard at all. There have been no problems with my tranny, it was rebuilt before I bought it so I'm just thinking shit tires. Some kind of cheap all terrains that came with the car. I'm gonna stop by where I did it tomorrow and check out the patch. Sure hope all four lit up and not just the fronts. Car is mostly stock except for the free mods, a 6 bolt, and 7cm turbine housing.

well i dont know much about AWD... but dumping the clutch at 6k is not the right way to launch..

You launched at 6500? If that clutch is stock dont expect it to last very long at all. You shouldnt need to go any higher than 5500 to get a good launch. A stock car shouldnt be able to just sit there and spin em all for a few seconds.
