So I had this issue for the first time as far as I know.
Car was fully heated, and was shifting fine for about 10miles. At the railroad track a train was coming so I put it in neutral and sat there for a minute or two. When I put it back in drive the car felt like it went into drive, but would not move at all. I rev the car a few times an it almost free rev'ed. Then after getting desperate due to traffic, and the fact that I was a foot away from the tracks(trains are very regular), I stabbed the throttle, redlines and takes off like nothing happened.
It drove fine for another 35+miles on the interstate. Then when I pulled into work I put it in neutral, then drive again. Same issue. If I let the car idle, it would creep forward. Any throttle input it would almost stop and free rev again.
I put it into park, then into 1st. It was perfectly fine.
Any ideas? I know nothing about an auto trans, nor what could even cause this.
I'm running a reman stock converter, Mitsu III fluid, a bottle of lubegard, and the factory driver mounted cooler without the radiator.
