on anti-street racing stickers.
A note to those on AOL. I get complaints all the time from AOLers
that they don't get the Digest. Well, that's because they usually
have those lame-o AOL flags set on their account so the Digest gets
bounced for some reason. Either the Digest is flat-out rejected
via an explicit deny, or it is rejected because you are refusing
attachements (the Digest is so big AOL makes it into an attachment),
or it is rejected because your put your account on accept-only from
certain addresses. Please pass the above info on to any friends you
might have on AOL who are trying to get on the Digest.

Subject: honda BS & tranny ?
Message-ID: <#63>
Today at the store today in turbo mag, I don't know what month, cover
screamed new fastest honda, 9.21 @ 140 something maybe 150 I can't remember.
It's not even a honda, it doesn't even look like a honda, it is a go kart
with a vtec straped to the back, whopde do da day I could rig a briggs and
straton on my dad's riding lawn mowere that could do 4 sec runs. They should
try running the engine in a car. All windows I means plexi glass, zero
interior, I can't believe they put a tach in it, it does wiehg about 4 OZ,
the engine setup was configured very weird the radiator was placed in the
approximate spot where our SMICs sit. The frame had been completly redone,
it looked like a funny car. Then I flipped the page to see a Grand National
that ran a 9.02 with a twin turbo and it looked like it just rolled off the
factory line. Honda needs to take a hint and relize that they may make a car
fast but if doesn't even look like a Honda it doesn't count, at least put a
seat in the thing for crying out loud.
Enough Bitchin, to my ? My tranny makes a noise in nuetral, it does not do
it when the clutch is pressed in though, or if I put it in gear while reving
it up with the clutch in. The noise sounds like metal being dragged across
concrete. I just replaced my cluch and throw out bearing, I have not even
driven the car as it is still on Jack stands as I am waiting for a spindle.
I just had to hear the enigne once again, it has been Thanksgiving since I
have driven my baby and I am going thru speed withdrawl. I searched the archs
and found nothing but a t bearing. I have 91 AWD 5spd. I suspect the input
shaft am I correct? Does this mean new tranny? thanks in advance I know
this has happened to someone else please help.

I found him on Facebook a couple years back - messaged him but got no reply. He was only active on there for 6 months in 2017. Not sure what's going on with him.

Well that's good to hear. I was kind of leaning towards the worst given how things played out. I figured santa has immunity from being arrested...

Sup? I'm 38 now! :beatentodeath:

Yao! Long time no see man, you still rockin the tambourine?

Lando also moderated our local forum "carolina dsm" back in the day. Last I saw of him he moved from the Genesis to a Challenger years ago.

DSMless at the moment but planning on another 2G. Still check in here once in a while.

Still pushing this 95 in and out of the garage occasionally. We had a fun group of guys in the Pacific NW in the early 2000's, miss it for sure...

Stay safe man.

What platforms are you working on most at your shop these days? I know you're not getting too many DSM customers. We all know that doesn't pay the bills.
Still 90% DSM work along with all the odd ball random work that people refuse to take elsewhere. Feels good to hear, "You're the only guy I trust to work on my cars" often. Unfortunately, its also a curse cause I can't finish all the other work on the plate. But hey, at least bills are getting paid.

Im not that early compared to most but only a few years out

Still check in, last post was '08 LOL. I was on the Digest back in the day, still have the 2nd DSM that got back in maybe '98/'99.
