AUTOCROSS w/ TRI COUNTY CORVETTE CLUB! RUN TILL YOU DROP!

As title states. Run till you drop with the Tri County Corvette Club Autocross event. This is a sanctioned LEGAL event on Sunday september 25th. (OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! FREE TO SPECTATORS! PASSENGERS ARE ALLOWED!)

This is a small FUN COURSE!!!! speeds are no more then 40mph. 2 lap track format
VEHICLES MUST BE SAFE!!! DRIVER AND PASSENGER MUST HAVE A SNELL 2005OR NEWER HELMET! Rental helmets ARE NOT AVAILABLE! PEER INSPECTIONS WILL BE PERFORMED! BRING TAPE AND A PEN AND PAPER FOR NUMBERING!

TIME: regisatration open at 7am. racing begins at 9 am until we dont run anymore. (usually 2-3pm) Everyone chips in. set up and take down and ocassional turn marshall if needed. ( Show up between 7-830am to help set up if needed and also to walk the course)

cost $15 dollars for anyone without a corvette (bikes, large trucks, karts are prohibited) $30 for corvette owners (points will be given out for corvette owners)

Location: PP&L electic utlities parking lot Rt 715 in Reeders Pennsylvania. This is on the outskirts of tannersville. EXIT 299 ON ROUTE 80. When you exit off of route 80 make a left onto 715 south and travel about 1 mile on left hand side across from the Pocono record printing building and just before the closed down roadway trucking facility. (About 5 minutes from THE CROSSINGS and 10 minutes from CAMELBACK SKI AREA!)

Food is available. Usually water, soda, and hotdogs. A sunoco station is located right off the highway that offers snacks, and ofcourse 93 octane ;p

For anyone that wanted to go and couldn't. Sorry you missed a good day. We had 28 cars and divided everyone into 2 groups to keep waiting on line down to a minimum. ran three passes then the second group would go out. make three passes and alternate. after the corvette club was done with there points event by 1:30 it was sort of a free for all to just get in line and run. Good food good laughs. Weather was clear and somewhat hot with some cloud cover.

My dsm suffered no issues other then getting a little warm during the hottest part of the day. There was only one other dsm in attendence and it was a GSR-4 with some bolt ons that was sitting in a field for almost 2 years and given to a friend who got it running semi decent, put ten miles on it and decided to flog on it yesterday all day. Other cars included a 6.0liter gto, numerous vettes, numerous subarus, an 80's oldsmobile cutlass, turbo hondas, ford focus, turbo mustang, evo 10, cobalt ss turbo, lexus is250, civic si n/a,

I will start another event thread soon following date confirmation but the next event is scheduled for october 30th rain or shine. And we will also have a halloween theme so come in costume and decorate your cars as well!!!
