Got the car about 3 weeks ago.was talking with the owners for about 3 months. I was gonna purchase the car with a cracked cylinder head on a "fresh short block rebuild" but had to back out at that time. A few weeks ago I hit them back up to see if it's still available and they put a spare head on that got a "rebuild" and wired in a 2g maf(with all the wires open and laying on eachother) and hardwired a maft and shorted it. they couldn't figure out why the car would start, rev to 5k and die. Soldered back in the 91 maf pigtail, and bought a maft translator for a 1g dsm, set the dials. Also found intake manifold not bolted on tight. Replaced intake gasket and car runs at normal idle had to fix alot of bullshit wiring hack job on engine harness which now lead me to buying a full connector kit and building a new harness. 20g turbo has more play then 2 maxed out strippers on cocaine. Gonna have to go through this thing top to bottom, bolt to nut to make sure this kid isn't setting me up for failure with his hoshposhed work.

Got harness done a few months ago and installed, mild tuck. It wasn't really that bad. Really time consuming, alot headaches, second guessing, mild mental instability, restless nights, falling asleep to pick up right where you left off. But, I'm now a super wiz on electrical work haha. Needs alot more work for finish product in interior. I built it wrong for installation. I'll show you guys that later. I have the complete oem 91-94 turbo harness in a box broken down and labeled pin #s and all. If you guys have any questions, I'll do my best. Car has came along way, will do another update 9/29/21

Car was on jackstands from 10/20-8/21 Not a whole bunch of pictures on this build so far sadly, but it's been a pretty basic "build" I more or less resurrected this thing since day 1. There's gotta be a solution to make DSM illegal to "dumbass kids". When I say 85% of the entire cars hardware was either loose, missing, stripped, or jimmy f***ed. I'm not kidding. 65% of hardware was previously removed for add ons, or tasks forgotten about. Rear subframe missing 3 nuts, 2 mounts loose.. front subframe and center sections, total of 8 bolts, the rest missing and stripped. So, think about everything else on the car... anyways new carrier bearings, u-joints t-case rear seal, and fresh redline mt90&shockproof gear lube for the drive train. glad I never drove it, t-case was bone dry from torn rear seal. Pf axle missing nut... got brakes working again, needs hoses still, new front bearings, rears when I drop the rear subframe for poly bushings. rebuilt front end, I'll deal with the "depowered" rack later🤣 built 6an fuel lines to rail, built 10an drain line for turbo, crank pulley bolts loose.. previous owner used arp invisible motor mount bolts for about half of all holes. I did a mild port and polish on the intake, installed evo 3 16g with fp mani, freshened up 720cc injectors, came with a eprom chipped for injectors, but useless. Kenny kline fixed it right up. The aem might get used. Champagne misted the ic pipes, threw in a 3 row with fans/shroud. Major fitment issues 🤣 it finally runs, I'll post a separate update with video. So much other shit I can say was f***ed but I think you'll get the idea. Far from complete, but ready for a drive. Pictures left to right- before and after

Bro your quotes are killing me LOL "There's gotta be a solution to make DSM illegal to "dumbass kids"". i was in your shoes a few years back when i bought my second 1g GSX from a bunch of guys off Craigslist who "flip" dsm's for "fun" and sell them. These guys couldn't speak a lick of English let alone work on cars. i bought a car from them that was so poorly done, the motor only had 3 bolts holding it to the transmission (which is why it was so hard to start cause when i put my foot down on the clutch it would push the motor away from trans.) and on the highway i had no 5th gear because of all of this, so that was fun, they were missing 2 or 3 bolts for the turbo to bolt up to the manifold so they just wielded the whole thing together, they used flex pipe exhaust piping and wielded it to a cheaply made cat-back so of course the wields broke due to, well flexing LOL so i was running open down pipe the whole time. i sold it after 2 months of owning it, i couldn't afford to fix their mess, but of course when i test drove it it ran like a dream and boosted hard, once i put money in their hand and drove off (well i tried to drive off, it wouldn't start up again) they ran in their house and i never saw them again.

after seeing your posts, this brings back nightmares but i'm exited to see what you do to this beast. ill be watching this for sure!

I definitely need a aftermarket bov so I can through a lil more then stock boost at it. She does have arp head studs so she's more then able. I have no clue what type of power I'm gonna put down. The previous owner said 500hp w/ the blown 20g🤣🤣 I'm hoping 280- 300ish the way it sits?

well now that its in good hands i bet it can reach that 500hp now LOL

So about 2 weeks ago, the time came. Nearly 5 years since its been on the road, and over a year without me ever driving it except around the lot straight to the stands. So those f***ing Jackstands got yeeted over to the next town, sat her down in the rare instance of holding its own weight. 2 days, 100 miles and alotta smiles. Minus blowing a brake line, The only thing this car wants to do is go. She drives really well, super smooth, boosts properly, everything functions. Runnin wastegate pressure for now. Other then the brake line going, and shift linkage needs adjusted a bit. 3rd&4th are tricky. Just doesn't seem to catch everytime.
