ok I am going to sell my modded 95 gst 5speed for a 97-98 auto awd talon. what my question is how do the stock auto tranny stand up in a stock awd setup? how is the stock power on the autos? I know they have more torque and less hp stock, do they have good low end? the only mod I will do is a k and n oem filter thats it, I just need a good daily driver that can drive in the snow. thanks for the space

The auto tranny on DSMs actually holds up pretty well on daily driving provided it is serviced. It comes with a tranny cooler in stock form and without any additional power adders, it should last the life of the car. Make sure you add some Lubegard to the new tranny fluid when it is sreviced. It's requirement is higher than Dextron III.
