Hey everybody, I just recently purchased an 08 titanium (you may have seen my thread). Anyways, I gave my new baby a car wash, cleaned her up a bit and headed to the coast for a photoshoot. It ended up raining half way through but it made for some decent pics. The camera was a Sony NEX-5 and all shots were taken by a buddy of mine.Enjoy.#

It does have a 2.0t but that's all I know. It's not FWD if that helps at all. I sure hope this thin is reliable because the only reason I bought it was because I want to build my talon but needed another DD.

OP.. Clean A4, I personally like the b5 and b6's better than the newer style a4's, but still very nice. Is that the stock suspension??? Looks very low to me.. but looks very nice like that.. I like it.

Who told you it needed new pistons and rings? What caused this to happen? If its still under warranty and they are changing everything for free then why not. But you can never trust dealers for mechanic quotes, especially audi dealers. I recently replaced the head on my 98 1.8t. It has 6 bent valves because the cam chain tensioner collapsed. Happened when trying to start the car so no piston damage at all. If the belt or tensioner breaks at high rpms the valves leave indents on the pistons and can cause hot spots if you don't replace pistons. Mine had no dents at all. Few minor scratches but nothing that would cause an issue. Called audi dealer just to see what they would charge because I was curious. I was going to do it myself regardless. I explained to the guy what happened and that I had already removed the head and found 6 bent valves with no piston damage. The audi dealer guy started explaining to me there is definitely piston damage the entire engine would have to be rebuilt...bunch of crap. He couldn't give me a definitive quote but he said it would be at least $3000-$5000 and would take a few weeks and 20 plus hours of labor at $100/hr blah blah blah. I bought 6 new valves and had the car running perfectly again for about $300 in parts and about 4 hours of my time. Audi's usually just take constant maintainence and they will last forever. Oil changes every 3000 miles, tensioners/timing belts every 60-75k, correct and correct gapped plugs, etc. This is with the 1.8, 2.0, 2.8, 4.2, I've worked on all of them.. The only audi engines I haven't really worked on are the diesels, the 3.0 and the 5.2. Just my word of advice if you own an audi, if something is wrong take it to an independent shop/friend that knows about them. You will save alot of money. :thumb:
