Someone needs to pick up my gsx, time to fund a ls1 swap to a miata I traded for.

Rofl. Really? You HAVE to let me drive that. ####. You have to let me help swap it!

Only thing I have to trade is a damn 99 Explorer and a 2002 300ex Honda. xD

I didnt know there was a up and down side.

Did you ever flip the engine over?

Also, uh.. WTF!! How would you have gotten a wrong HG?

No I didnt.... The old hg I took off was 3 layer metal gasket. and the one I bought was a single hg. felpro.

The felpro one is the way you want to go, but did you check to ensure the head was level? Did everything line up when you were installing the HG? How do you know the fluid "went into the block"? Do you mean it mixed with the oil?

Correct me if I am wrong, but a felpro gasket in most cases have a side that has part numbers stamped in on one side and has painted stripes on one side, that side goes up, I take it you didn't mill swap the old head I gave you? I could have drilled it wrong, hell we know I drilled it wrong, it could have opened up a water jacket and oil port. Just a suggestion.

Let me clarify, the numbers and stripes should be on the same side, i have seen some that actually have up stamped on them also.

Well I put the other head on it, Yes I did get it milled. Everything was level. Last night we went to till it up with anti freeze and water. Poured a whole gallon of both( wonder why it hasn't filled up) I checked the dipstick and it was full of everything. So I went to drain the mixture and that were it all endup. Now I have to take it apart. This is were im at.

Edit: Now I dont know if I put it on backwards. Spencer did you know that all the head studs were loose but 2.

Arp headstuds generally should only be snug. When you tighten the nuts it locks the studs.

Well worth the asking price. I've seen it/heard it. Wouldn't hesitate to buy it.
