are 2g eclipse and talon glass the same? and how hard is it to install?

Hi,

my car was vandalized and my passenger front window no longer exists. A shop quoted me 220, but I feel that if i get the window myself, it will be cheaper if i can figure out how to install it. Also, are 2g eclipse and talon glass identical? i'm looking at ordering glass but it's off an eclipse. Is the install manageable? the other option is that i get the glass myself and then let the shop do it, i'm sure i'd still save some money.

The glass is the same. The install is pretty simple also.

You could find a whole door with the glass for less than 220.

If you call the right people, you should be able to get that piece of glass for around $80 wholesale price. Think nationwide glass wholesalers. If you want specifics, pm me.

Salvage yards should have the glass. You can get it on ebay also.

Glass at the junk yard here are around $50, just be careful, they gave me a list of compatable cars and it included the Chrysler Sebring and 2 dodges... Fail junkyard.
