but with the turbo blades spinning and chopping anything up that comes in their path how bad is it really to run like this?.

When thin little blades are spinning that fast it doesn't take a very big piece of debris to break them.

alright thanks for all the replies. I will try and figure something out to squeeze a filter in there. ( Stock location won't work because short route intercooler pipes are in the way ... filter won't fit over the turbo and still clear the fan either
