I'm looking to get my engine rebuilt and I would appreciate any recommendations for a good rebuild shop with DSM experience, who are still in business and active. Any place in SE or mid-Michigan would be appreciated - any place in the area between Detroit, Ann Arbor, Lansing and Flint.

Thanks!

Either Speed Industry or Raver Motorsports.

I would go to Automotive Machine. They know what they're doing.

These guys have done a few of my engines and I have no complaints with them.

whats wrong with porters perfermance? i was thinking of buying a crate engine but havent heard any reviews

I would look up a guy on here called doubleclutch99, Head builds anything from stock to performance. We deal with dsm graveyard for machining and cleaning. He may be able to build you something good and save you some money. He is located in muskegon mi.

I've used a shop in Ann Arbor by the airport. I don't remember the name but I think it was called Auto Parts Machine Shop. When I'm at my parents house, I can look up if I have a receipt from them in my huge binder since 2002 ;) They did the job at a reasonable job and worked with my on using all custom parts I wanted.

There was another place near Wixom that installed sleeves for me too and I thought they did good job.

I can get you the name if you're interested.

Free free to at least give us a call, I'm sure when you compare apples to apples you will be very satisfied with our work, pricing, and all of our options for short blocks, and rotating assemblys. We have a full service machine shop, and we are "Home of the Frankenstein" (AKA 2G Piston, 6 Bolt rod ) .

We have amazing connecting rod equipment, and the best gauges Sunnen offers!

Email me direct @ [email protected]

Or call me Direct at 269-567-3385 (New store Noon till 6)
Or the shop @ 269-226-4G63 (4463) ask for Branden Ext 302

Thanks!

I wouldn't recommend anything that they build or sell, just look at some of their reviews.
