Well lately (past month) I've been hearing this noise that sounded like a big exhaust leak....

Fast forward to today i was installing new tail light bulbs that's when I decided hey I should find that noise , well I found it and it's my flex pipe that was replaced for safety 2 yrs ago and it's in bad shape so my question is does anyone know why a brand new flex pipe only lasted 2 years?

Is it because I have a turbo down pipe or something? (If there's a difference ) on a nt exhaust mani? I just want to fix it and make sure it doesn't go again on me thanks sounds very annoying

well that could be caused by exhaust hangers (missing or installed) that are causing a lot of stress at that joint through bending or rotation and it finally gave way. however, that should cause gradual tearing.

it might just be a piece of shit component :p cheap flex pipe from a cheap muffler shop because cheap cheap cheap?

speaking of not a piece of shit, jackson auto did up my iat bung beautiful.
 
It could be due to the gas being used to regular gas seems to give you lots of condensation in the exhaust pipe. Like when ever you see that one car that everytime it takes off from the light a bunch of water pours out. But usually you should get a good 5 years out of it atleast.

Yeah it was 60$ so it might have been cheap, but I did notice a hanger was bent an not being used ,

Also I kinda think it may be a bad motor mount even my engine drops when going in reverse and clunks sometimes (100% sure it's my front and rear motor mounts makeing the clunk since my trans has 30k on it and my mounts are fu$ked )

But yeah that noise has been bugging me alright LOL ,

Yeah I haven't seen water pour out of mine but I no what ya mean just crappy how it lasted 2 years LOL oh well time to get a new one welded up and fix my engine and exaust mounts

Oh and Paint jobs comeing it's way this month no procastination this time I work to much LOL
 
Maybe. Switched to speed density entirely, no more MAS, so I'm trying to dial in cruise tune right now and havent even touched open loop.. but I've got a lot of other stuff around the house, including renos, to do this week so I might be out this weekend.
 
hows everyone doing? been a while LOL. My engine bay is painted! Now all left to do is buy some parts to refresh my motor and put her back in. Easier said than done most of the time LOL. sorry for the shiz picture but when its out and driving ill show you all.

mild steel, no surprise. this time, went with hardened steel.
so, of all things, afpr wasnt set to correct pressure anymore. dont know how it changed over time but it explains why my tune has been creeping into the netherworld recently.

23psi spike in 3rd gear at 4k = zero traction :(
 
Just letting everyone know about my 1ga part out. curt-s and o0GuitarKid0o have grabbed some stuff off me. i still got a lot of interior parts, AWD side skirts,bumpers, body molding and hood. if anyone needs anything just let me know!

I think I'm in ideal I'd like to see about cruising a little earlier to maybe have a better chance on catching some more eagle or eclipses on the streets. How ever was good Sunday cruise last weekend. Alex there is a guy that is looking for a couple misilanious bits and pieces nice too see you joined turner rather then trolling the forums as a non member LOL. Did autopac repaint your car Taylor

I'm still waiting for the phone call had to send them all my recipts for my car so i guess they have to validate them or check them out but damn it's been two weeks since then and it's been over a month wonder what's happening LOL but august looks promising she will be one clean laser hah I need to start a build journal /what i have done to my laser on tuners,
gotta love hail damage

My Internet got interrupted by construction workers LOL I went around portage last night to try and find you guys hah if only I went to the tavern hah
