so does everyone who owns a DSM run a recirculated BOV?

If we don't have a GM/MAFT combo or ECUPlus with a built-in MAFT or some kind of speed density setup from AEM EMS - Yes, we all run a recirculated BOV.

If you really want to hear the nose, get metal intercooler pipes and a metal intake pipe. I just scared a lady in my work parking lot this afternoon with my vented BOV. :D

Huh..

No not everyone runs one particular way regardless there setup...
Its all by personal taste, you are not suppose to run your bov vented w/ out a blowthru setup or a speed density setup like already stated but that doesnt stop some people.

There are people with speed density/ or blow thru who still recirculate because they dont like the loud noise, or ricerness.... Not to mention that it helps keep your turbo going by the blow off air shooting back into the compressor.

Ive always recirculated mines ever sicne I owned a dsm but I just got my gm maft blow thru setup going a week ago so right now im venting to atmosphere for first time.
It didnt really matter to me, the noise doesnt thrill me or annoy me, and i wanted to clean up some clutter under the hood anyways.

"Quick summary: don't vent your BOV to the atmosphere unless you're running a MAFT or standalone engine managament system, or you simply just don't care about your car's performance. A chip and/or S-AFC won't make it work right. If you vent your BOV with the stock MAF and you have stalling or stumbling problems, we don't want to hear about it. You've been warned. The only forum you may ask about venting your BOV (if you don't have an MAFT or standalone) is the Newbie forum."

Yeah there are also people who drive a car with 100k without a timing belt change so what's your point? :p

Good point. Having a recirculated BOV (or CBV to be exact) helps to keep the turbo spooled during shifts. This is of more importance to people running non-ball bearing turbos.

you could always convert to speed density and run aem ems or something.. a bit expensive just for a loud BOV though.

goodluck.
