Antilock Brakes And wheel sizes

Just a general question. Does it matter changing wheel sizes say from a 17" to a 16" or 15". Does this affect your anti-lock braking? There is a lady at work that dosen't want to keep putting out alot of cash for 17" tires. She was told by dodge (this is a Avenger) that she should not go smaller because of the anti-lock brakes. That sounds like bs to me. Any info would be appreciated.

It's crap, so long as everything clears. My god, how often does she have to buy tires? And she "thinks" a wheel swap will be cheaper? Buy cheaper tires.
ABS work by sensors on the discs which compare wheel speeds with one another. They don't care what size wheels are on them, within reason.

I can buy I desent 16" tire for around $52. She said here 17's are around 120 a piece. She's hard on the care. Appreciate your info.
