Blue talon is gone, and this has taken its place. I wanted a 1G again so badly and this thing is a local legend honestly. It’s still super dirty but it’ll clean up super nice. Man it’s good to be back in a 1G!

I agree! It looks rough in pictures but honestly the paint is great in person. It's not some $3,000 super expensive paint job, it looks like a single stage job, but it's in good shape honestly. Probably a factobake or Maaco job. But it honestly looks great for what it is. First time I get to pressure wash/clean it, and remove some stickers I honestly bet it'll look like night and day.

Yes. Yes it is. You should've seen the shift cables. They were held together with duct tape and a literal beer can(or two). There's some epic stuff on this car. Lol.

More pictures coming soon. It's gonna be moved here to my property soon as feasible, and first thing I'll do is show before and after the pressure wash/bath it'll get.


Also, officially moving away from the AEM EMS Series 2 that's in this car, and going with ECMLink V3 Full. It's way too much for what this car ever will be, and I'm way more familiar with ECMLink. I'd really like an Ostrich and Jackal but eh. That ship has long sailed.

Tow truck booked and set. I work an absolute ton over the next week so the wash before/after will be a little delayed, but I'm immediately changing the wheels to some black enkeis that match the car a little better pretty much soon as it gets here. The AEM EMS has been ripped out and is off to its new home at Rix Racing, and I await(eagerly) the ECMLink V3 Full that is on its way to me.


From here it's just washing it, finishing assembly, tying up loose ends, battery, new tires, first start up, tuning, then enjoying it.


Side note: It's a little pre-emptive, but if anyone has a 1G that's near pensacola, FL(like 4-5 hours in any direction) I am heavily interested. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna need an interior/dash/cluster harness, and probably a new engine harness as well. Also need a few random bits and pieces for the interior, and a complete a/c system. So even if it's an N/A 2.0L 1G that been wrecked, painted, smeared with feces, idk. As long as the interior is complete and not a total biohazard(can need cleaning, IDC) I will absolutely be interested.


And if you happen to HAVE a good interior harness and engine harness for a 91 DSM specifically, please hit me up. I am very interested. Also interested in complete a/c system for a 1G. (everything, and I mean everything. Blower, heater core, compressor, lines, relays, etc).

Once I get my car going and can inventory everything to see what is extra or not needed then we can see if it matches any of your needs list. I have done that with a few things and it has always worked out well. Nate Chrisman is taking over the business this year and will be doing all of the work himself, he told me last month.

Scored this on facebook marketplace for like $35 shipped/paypal'd. I'm gonna run the car on a 2G MAF and use ECMLink's function to create me a SD map based on the MAF stuff. Plus it's got a little bit of history with me. My very first ever turbo DSM, had one of these on it. It was my first ever actual performance upgrade(combined with their UICP to match).

Behold!

It'll definitely get cleaned up/painted...but it's a piece of DSM history. Dejon had great stuff, man. I'm excited. But I have NO CLUE what color scheme I want to go in the engine bay. I don't think I want red, but also definitely don't want black. Lol.

Got her on the ground, path cleared, ready for some tow truck action. Boy she dirty!

She's dirty, but oh my God I love how this car sits. So aggressive. And I love those Tein S-Tech springs, had them on my old 1G and they rode so good. Definitely need some good coilovers though, but that's faaaar on the list of priorities.


Dirty AF but another shot of the cam gears/timing cover. Bonus: It's got brand new OEM 6 bolt timing covers on the bottom! Woo!

Legit can't wait to give this thing a wash. Also verified that I need the complete auto seatbelt for the drivers side. The rails, the motor, everything. If you got one, hit a brotha up! But, hopefully more updates tomorrow. And tbh I may wash it immediately. Lol.
