alternator

is there a diffrences between a 1.8 and a 2.0 alternator?
i have a new alternator and a new battery the car wipers are slow when i have the heat on. If i leave the lights on for couple mins it kills the battery.
could it be that i have a bad alternator or did i get a 1.8 alternator and its weaker?

1.8 alts are 65 amp, turbos 75, Canadian 90. Yours is dead.

so how can i tell how many amps mine has?

If you purchased it local. Take it back, also Advance or Autozone should be able to test it for you.
