searched and searched but no answers. I got this 1st gen that started off n/a and was swapped by the previous owner. and the biggest issue thats stopping me from driving the car is the alternator belt. no matter what combo of water pump pulleys I use, i cannot get all 3 to line up and tensioned without an awful squel and the belt will shred in 5 mins of running. the only way i can drive is loosen the tension till its barely squeling but that limits me to a 11.5v charge instead of 14.5v.... what can i do? how can i make something to tell how much pulley is off so I can compensate and shim? any help is appreciated! thanks guys:banghead:

You need to double check that your crank pulley / harmonic balancer is not separating.
