Air Scooped Hood

It is custom, if you know how to use fiberglass you could do it yourself. Some people on here have done it. I would just get a carbon fiber hood, just because it weighs less. The vent doesnt really function on turbo cars, i guess it would kinda function on an n/a if you had a shortram intake. Get a cf and have a shop make a hole in it.

doesn't have a function? I notice that everytime i open my hood even after a 10 minute drive that it's pretty warm under there. I think a little scoop would definately help a little with cooling all that down. I've noticed a few cars now have some sort of ventilation in there hood like the EVO, SRT-4, and WRX(ya i know that's for the intercooler but even when people switch to a front mount, they still leave the sccop). I've also seen one eclipse in a magazine that had a little vent where that bulge is and i think it looks pretty tyte and if you find out any info on it lemme know cuz I'd love to have sumthin like that.

I told you it was custom, and it really doesnt serve a purpose on turbo cars, All there would be is an exhaust opening, where would all of the hot air go? It would only bring fresh air in, and not that much really, to do the job, you would have to know how to use fiberglass.

do they make a raised hood with ram air scoops? I think ive seen the raised hoods (this would just raise the whole hood instead of just a bump, so this would eliminate the bump altogether). I would really like to get a hood with scoops that looks like the new Trans Am's ram air hoods.

Ram Air hoods actuall serve a great purpose. You can kill a lot of the ambient temps under the hood of our cars just by having one in place.

Where does the excess air go? Why if the air is coming up then the only way for it to leave is down; underneath the car itself.

I relaly can't wait for Taboo to make the fiberglass one for the 1gs...

One benefit of a cowl induction hood is it also releases air from the engine bay. The grill shoots cold air through the hot radiator, which heats the already warm air. An induction scoop would draw cool air in and let warm air out. Good stuff.

OK Talonracer, since that's the case, nobody use you air conditioners because all it does is bring in cool air, but doesn't let out the hot air, so it can't cool anything at all according to ya. nobody roll down your windows when its warm to get a little breeze in your car because unless theres a hole in your tail gate for the warm air to exit then all your doing is screwing up your cars aerodynamics and wasting gas. Right? whatever, u wanna think fresh air blowing on your engine won't help then feel free too think it, all the people who have vented hoods on there supras and the people who designed EVO's and SRT-4's are straight up morons. And so am I because I want one so if you find anymore info on these useless hoods lemme know because im interested! thank you kindly
